What is corona virus

Corona virus is a influenza like virus as its symptoms is very similar to inflenza virus and the diseases caused by it is called covid-19. COVID-19 can be put in ILI (Influenza like Illness) group as it shares many features of Influenza including:
• Mortality rate about 0.1%
• The virus attacked the respiratory tract.
• Common symptoms include fever, cough weakness and shortness of breath.
• It’s a single strand RNA segment
• It’s airborne / waterborne like any other flu virus.

Corona virus patient can be confirmed by  only one way-rtPCR Test-Reverse transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction Test- a test kit by
which you can diagnose whether a patient has contracted coronavirus or not. If you bought any instuments then it is provided with manufacture’s manual for easy to use. Similarly rtPCR instrument is also provided with manual in which it is cleary mentioned that it is only used for research purposes bt not for diagnosis purpose. It is not only mentioned in manufacture manual bt also said by the inventor of this kit , Kary Mullis, who is a Noble Prize winner. It means that PCR test not gives the accurate result which shows the patient get affected from corona virus or not. 

Why this isn't for diagnostic purpose ? The answer to this question is that- specificity of this diagnosis test kit is at the maximum 99%.
